Carolina Simms
MRI Technologist
Carolina is an MRI Technologist with nearly a decade of experience in imaging. She Started her career in 2015 at the front desk of an imaging facility in the bay area, and completed her clinical training through Gurnick Medical Academy in 2019. She earned her ARRT (MR) credentials, later working across multiple MRI systems with various radiologists and physicians. She has spent the last two years at FDFAC.
Carolina is known for her calm, empathetic approach and her commitment to making MRI visits feel comfortable and straightforward. She treats every patient with the same care and clarity she’d want for her own family.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping, swimming and roller skating. She frequents sporting events, and loves trying new restaurants, going to the movies, weekend trips with friends, and spending time with her family.
With a background in medical assisting and community health, Carrissa is an expert in keeping visits running smoothly and ensuring every patient feels supported from the moment they arrive.
She completed Cabrillo College’s Medical Assisting Program in 2021, earned her Certified Medical Assistant credentials shortly after, and previously worked at OrthoNorcal in Capitola, where she gained hands‑on experience in orthopedic care.
Outside of work, Carissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family—hiking, biking, kayaking, or relaxing at the beach. She also loves exploring museums and finding great food around the Bay Area.
