Wilson Imaging MRI Safety & Eligibility Policy

Before purchasing, scheduling, or receiving an MRI at Wilson Imaging, you must review the MRI safety and eligibility information below. MRI is not appropriate for every person. Certain medical devices, implants, conditions, or circumstances may make MRI unsafe or may require additional review before an appointment can be completed.

Purchase of a prepaid MRI offer, package, gift certificate, or appointment does not guarantee MRI eligibility. All appointments are subject to Wilson Imaging’s MRI safety screening, health eligibility requirements, intake forms, and staff review.

You may not be eligible for an MRI, or you may need additional review before scheduling, if you have or may have any of the following:

  • Pacemaker or implanted defibrillator

  • Cochlear implant

  • Neurostimulator or implanted electrical device

  • Implanted pump or infusion device

  • Certain aneurysm clips

  • Certain surgical implants or metal implants

  • Metal fragments, shrapnel, or possible metal in the eyes or body

  • Pregnancy or possible pregnancy

  • Severe claustrophobia

  • Inability to lie still or safely complete the scan

  • Any other condition, device, implant, or circumstance that may affect MRI safety

This list is not exhaustive. Wilson Imaging may decline, postpone, or cancel an MRI if safety or eligibility concerns are identified. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, contact Wilson Imaging before purchasing or booking.
